Grooming Add-Ons
Puppy Social | Group Class
For puppies aged between 10-18 weeks old, and during our 40 minutes of structured play with owners, the pups will learn how to interact safely with others ranging in size, energy level, and age.
Pet parents are included in this class, and puppy interactions will be monitored by a trainer to ensure that the play is happy, healthy, and enjoyable for all of the puppies who attend!
Group Class | Puppy Pre-K
Our Puppy Pre–K class is an excellent introductory class for new puppy parents. There is a heavy emphasis on puppy socialization, confidence building, crate exercises, and more. Puppy socialization doesn’t stop with just puppy play; to help shape well rounded family members we need to expose them to “scary things” (like the vacuum) positively, as well as help them learn about handling at the groomer and vet for example. We take your puppy’s health and safety very seriously, which is why our training rooms will be specially sanitized before class begins. This will be a safe environment for your young pups!
Requirements:
- For puppies 2-4 months of age
- Puppies must have their first round of shots
- Puppies MUST be carried into the training room – don’t let feet touch the floor until then!
- Treat pouch and clicker are recommended
- Regular leash
- Harness or collar (regular or martingale)
- No retractable leashes, e-collars of any kind, choke collars, or prong collars allowed

Leash Walking | Mini-Class
Walks with our dogs can be a pleasant way to add exercise and enrichment to your normal routine. However, having a dog who is miserable to walk can cause you to feel embarrassed, frustrated, exhausted, or even potentially injured. So, if you do not like walking your dog, then this workshop is for you! We will focus on getting you comfortable with walking management tools, attention skills, reinforcing polite walking behavior, and what to do if your dog forges ahead of you.
We will cover the following:
The art of the walk
Leash walking management
Loose leash walking skills
Confidence building for you and your dog
When and how to reward your dog
Redirection and attention skills
Perfecting your “Heel”
Materials needed include:
A front clipping harness (i.e., Freedom harness or Easy Walk)
Plenty of awesome treats
A favorite toy if your dog prefers toys to treats
A standard 4 or 6-foot leash with a loop handle, NO retractable leashes are allowed
**Optional but recommended; a clicker and treat pouch
We will be practicing these skills outside for half of the classes, so prepare to dress accordingly! This class is weather permitting and will be rescheduled if there is severe weather.
Reactive Dog | Specialty Class
In our six-week Reactive Dog Workshops, we are able to set up scenarios in which to guide you in a controlled environment. We will lay the foundation of success, but it is vital that you do your homework outside of class as well. When you bring your dog to class you’ll have the support of our team to safely and comfortably enter and leave the training space.
We focus on these aspects of on-leash dog-dog reactivity.
- Changing your dog’s emotional response to other dogs
- Management techniques
- Preventing your dog from practicing the behavior
- Removing your dog quickly and easily from unexpected encounters with dogs and other “triggers”
- Fun strategies to build your dog’s focus on you on walks
- Building your skillset to increase your confidence with your dog in public
- Reducing your dog’s overall arousal level
- Equipment to support your dog when walking on a leash (without using the choke, prong, or electronic collars)
Not suitable for dogs displaying human aggression or with a bite history.
