Vesa was born in Prishtina, Kosovo, grew up in Germany, before going back to Kosovo as a teenager.
She has loved animals for as long as she can remember. She grew up with a pet rabbit, but never missed a chance to surround herself with friends who were taking care of her favorite animals, dogs and horses.
In Kosovo, where stray dogs are abundant, she has cared for many animals in need, be it as a foster, by providing medical help or finding them forever families. She was especially involved in helping abandoned puppies. One of those puppies, Nuno, stole Vesa’s heart, and became a permanent member of her family.
Vesa is an international medical graduate who has recently moved to DC. She loves spending her time hiking and taking long walks in Rock Creek Park with Nuno, and discovering all the good spots in DC.
Sam grew up in New England in a pet-friendly home and moved to the DC area in 2010 for school. When it’s time to leave the wagging tails and go home, Sam answers to her seven-pound cat, Erith. Erith allows time for tutoring, knitting, and the occasional long hiking weekend.
Leah is a regular walker serving the Navy Yard area. She is a recent DC transplant from Wisconsin, where she cultivated her lifelong love of dogs and of course, beer and cheese! While she's not working as an Energy Engineer, Leah loves exploring new areas, restaurants, and events, and serving as a volunteer for the Humane Rescue Alliance. She looks forward to meeting your dog and exploring all of the neighborhoods DC has to offer!
