Stephanie Barnard
General Manager, Dog Walking and Pet Sitting
Stephanie is a native of Rochester, New York and is a pastry chef by trade. She has always had a love for animals and has many years of professional petcare. She grew up with Golden Retrievers she also has a cat named Momma! Be on the lookout for specialized dog treats from Stephanie's kitchen!
Brittany Leabhart
Assistant Dog Walking Manager
Brittany is our dog walking assistant, covering walks all over town as needed. She moved to the area in 2015 and discovered her passion for animals after adopting her dog Baxter from the Washington Humane Society. She is working towards a certification in dog training while getting all the experience with dogs that she can. She looks forward to meeting your fluffy friends!
Paul Burgess
Dog Walker
After his pit bull Bailey convinced him to leave his job in international development, Paul decided to jump into the pet care business. He joined the District Dogs team in 2015 as a dog walker. He grew up with various breeds, has worked with dozens of dogs, and is certified in pet first aid. He's also a musician and plays in the DC area. He's proud to call Petworth home and to support a local business like District Dogs!
David Norwood
Dog Walker
David is our regular walker covering the Shaw and U St area neighborhoods. A lifelong animal owner and dog lover in particular, he recently left his IT job with NASA to work more closely with animals and pursue passion projects in music and film. David has owned and cared for dogs of all sizes, from a pure bred husky down to a corgi/chihuahua mix. Big or small, smart or silly, quiet or couch-shreddingly energetic, your pup and David are sure to get along!
Kelly Charette
Dog Walker
Kelly is our regular walker covering the Park View and Columbia Heights neighborhoods. She just recently moved to DC from Albany, NY and can’t wait to make many new 4-legged friends here in DC. Ever since she was a little kid, Kelly wanted to work with and care for dogs. Kelly grew up with Basset Hounds and believes there is nothing better than the unconditional love of a pet. In her spare time, she travels as much as she can and follows all professional and collegiate sports.
Izzy Rode
Dog Walker
Izzy is our regular walker for the U St corridor and is an experienced dog walker, boarder, and sitter. Before joining District Dogs in late 2016, Izzy fell in love with pugs while living with a roommate who had three. Although he didn’t grow up with dogs, he now has his own pug friend, Walden, who loves to walk and go to dog parks throughout DC. In his free time, Izzy spends his days befriending beasts and humans DC-wide, ingesting too many podcasts, and crafting.
Rob Fisher
Dog walker
Rob is our regular walker covering the Columbia Heights and Mt. Pleasant neighborhoods. A returned Peace Corps Volunteer and native of Chapel Hill, N.C., Rob loves all kinds of dogs (especially labs) and owned his first in college. Some of his favorite things include music, soccer, traveling, and of course, dogs! Rob is also a soccer coach, scout and Personal Trainer in the DC area, and he can't wait to get to know your dog, and explore DC!
Rudy Telson
Dog Walker
Rudy is our regular walker for Logan Circle and is also a certified pet groomer and dog training coordinator. He has a one-eyed, 21 pound shorthair cat named Butters. In his free time, Rudy is a huge fan of movies, music, and video games.
Rebekah Haile
Dog Walker
Rebekah is our Adams Morgan and Kalorama dog walker. She has an extensive history working with dogs of all sizes and is happy to be apart of the District Dogs team.
Christi Vandermale
Dog Walker
Christi grew up with golden retrievers and in recently years has successfully fostered several dogs in the D.C. area. When she's not spending time with dogs, she is either out hiking or performing piano and vocals in a local band!
Marie Piayai
Dog Walker
Marie is our regular Logan Circle Walker. She is a native of upstate NY and has lived in South America as well as Southeast Asia. Her background is in international development, but her love for pups gives her true happiness. She hopes to own a senior animal sanctuary in the future.
